We have been aware of the alarming situation facing those involved with microfinance institutions with the intention of soliciting loans to help them meet the pressing needs of their families and to increase the capacity of their commercial activities. Indeed, depending on conditions in those situations (either on the high interest rate or by the terms of repayment), this has sometimes resulted in total failure those small entrepreneurs and famers. They are sometimes victims of all forms of social injustice. They come sometimes to abandon their marital roof. With this, HVF (Haitian Foundation Vision) wants to bring relief to stranded the scourge undermining the situation of these people.

After studies in the field, we have found the best way to help those small entrepreneurs and farmers. We have a plan to help 100 small entrepreneurs and famers throughout 5 years. We intend to help them to have success and be able to change their lives completely by helping them to structure their small businesses and giving them periodic seminars about small business administration. This initiative aims to reduce progressively the level of poverty prevailing in some homes.
Micro-credit project's objectives
HVF will establish a library in each Commune (the third-level Haitian territorial division for administrative purposes) to give students a place to do homework or borrow a book to read over the weekend.
Haitian students don’t have a space at home where they can study, they don’t have access to books other than school books, and because many Haitian families do not have electricity they cannot study at night. The library will reduce all of these problems Haitian students face, which can prevent them from being successful.

Context and Justification of the Micro-credit Project
Microfinance institutions are very numerous in Dondon, despite they are branches whose head offices are concentrated in Cap-Haitian and Port-au-Prince. In Dondon, to those looking for financial loans to start or to increase their business, they are forced to engage in the Micro Finance Institutions that are just following rigid rules of Central Directorate, the sole purpose of which is to maximize profits and minimize expenses. petion-ville-haitiIt is a rigorous system that pretends that it is beneficial for customers, yet actually an excessive exploitation at the expense of the lifestyle of these poor customers.
Indeed, Haitian Vision Foundation (HVF) is very critical of this difficult reality that young entrepreneurs are living in Haiti. We want to intervene to remedy the situation, with the intention of improving the living conditions of a sample of 100 Small Shopkeepers, detailers and small farmers, who will benefit from a minimum of training related to their business activities. In fact, a program to reduce the volume of pressure imposed by creditors emanating from their retrograde system.

Therefore, this initiative will not only increase the purchasing power, but also increase the standard of living of many families. One fact is certain that in Haiti, the commercial activity of a householder can feed at least 6 other people and pay school fees for his or her children.
